Milk & Cradle – Virginia has a new team member!

Meet Cassandra Partridge, RN, IBCLC

At Milk & Cradle, we believe every family deserves compassionate, individualized feeding support rooted in evidence, respect, and trust. As our practice continues to grow, we’re thrilled to welcome Cassandra Partridge, RN, IBCLC. Many may simply know her as Cassie!

Cassie brings more than 25 years of experience caring for mothers and babies. Her approach blends clinical expertise with deep compassion, helping families feel seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate their feeding journey.

Cassie’s Story

Cassie enjoyed a breastfeeding relationship with her mother for almost 3 years. She was breech and the first of three girls born by cesarean. Her mother Kathryn or “Kathy” wanted a natural Leboyer childbirth and later a vaginal birth after cesarean. But neither of those things happened the way she had hoped. Despite those challenges and disappointments, Kathy found support with La Leche League and reclaimed breastfeeding for her family lineage, giving an invaluable gift to herself and her daughters.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Cassie became a nurse and has worked with mothers and babies for the past 25 years. Originally planning to be a midwife, life’s journey called her toward doula work, breastfeeding support and Jungian life coaching. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Cassie supports mothers and babies using a heart-centered, instinctual approach.

Being a lactation consultant is Cassie’s way of paying it forward, by offering compassionate support to mothers and babies who might be struggling. She is informed by her mother’s legacy of reclaiming breastfeeding and the embodied wisdom she learned at the breast.

“My specialty is keeping it simple, bringing it back to basics and helping mothers to trust their instincts. I’m not here to fix a problem. I’m here to help you listen to your body and your baby about what is best for this moment. I can offer integrative clinical knowledge and experience, but that is secondary to your innate maternal wisdom and the intelligence of your baby.”
